
4 cube steaks
thin eye of round steaks

3 Tbsp oil

0.25 cp flour

1 shallot
minced

4 cloves garlic
crushed

8 oz mushrooms

1 tsp mushroom powder
optional

2 cps beef stock

1 tsp thyme

1 tsp oregano

1 Tbsp worcestershire
Step 1
In a heavy bottom pan over medium heat. Add 1 tbsp oil, shallot and garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
Step 2
Add cleaned and sliced mushrooms to pan. Cook until they have reduced by half.
Step 3
Remove veg and set aside.
Step 4
Salt, pepper and lightly flour each steak.
Step 5
Over medium high heat, add ½ tbsp of oil per steak and sear both sides.
Step 6
Set seared steaks aside.
Step 7
Add mushroom mixture back to the pan still on medium high heat. Stir in remaining flour.
Step 8
Once combined, reduce heat to low, add the stock and seasonings. Stir and simmer 5 minutes.
Step 9
Place Steaks on top of mushroom mixture and cover.
Step 10
Place in 350° oven covered for 45 minutes.
