Ingredients

1 cp Cornmeal
medium or fine ground

1 cp AP flour

1.5 cps Whole Milk
Buttermilk Optional

2 tsp baking powder

¼ tsp baking soda

3 Tbsp Butter
frozen & grated

1 egg

1 tsp salt

0.25 cp Sugar
Honey Butter

0.5 cp honey

2 Tbsp butter
Instructions
Step 1
Place 3 tbsp butter in the freezer
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine cornmeal and milk. (Let sit 15 minutes to hydrate the cornmeal)

Combine remaining dry ingredients in a separate bowl and set aside
Step 4
Add eggs to cornmeal and mix lightly
Step 5
Pour dry ingredients into corn/ egg mixture and stir just to combine
Step 6
Grate frozen butter directly into the mixture. Fold gently to combine.

400 degrees preheated, oiled 8/10" skillet Pour mixture in and bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes
Step 8

8" round/square baking dish: (Oiled) 375 degrees 20-25 minutes
