Adobo Chickien

1 lb Chicken thigh
Cut Bite Sized
Marinade
0.25 cp soy sauce
0.25 cp Rice vinegar
½ Tbsp garlic powder
3 bay leaves
dry
Sauce
2 Tbsp oil
light nuetral
1 cp water
½ Tbsp garlic
crushed paste
½ Tbsp coarse black pepper
to taste
2 Tbsp dark brown sugar
light is fine
0.25 cp scallion
or shallot
Garnish
sesame seed
Scallion
greens
2 cps white rice
prepared
Instructions
Marinade
Step 1
Slice Chicken
Step 2
Combine chicken and marinade ingredients in a container. Marinate at least 30 minutes and up to 4 hours.
Cooking
Step 1
In a skillet, add oil and chicken ( without marinade) over medium high heat. Until the chicken begins to take on color.
Step 2
Pour marinade into pan.
Step 3
Continue over medium high heat until marinade begins to simmer. Then remove chicken and set aside.
Step 4
Add onion and cook until it begins to soften.
Step 5
Deglaze pan with water.
Step 6
Add remaining ingredients and cook until the sauce thickens to a syrup consistency.
Step 7
Remove from heat, add chicken and stir to coat.
Step 8
Serve over rice, garnish with sesame seeds and scallion greens.
